Innovation Precinct

From its genesis in 2012 the Christchurch Innovation Precinct has emerged as a focal point and prime location for fast growing, knowledge-rich and creative tech businesses in Christchurch much of which was catalyzed from the visionary cofounders of EPIC innovation which established a place to co- locate 17 tech businesses in 2012.

The Innovation Precinct today brings together a rich tapestry of businesses large and small. From corporates such as Vodafone and Kathmandu, to established, fast-growing tech businesses housed in EPIC Innovation, and startups based in co-working and incubator spaces like Biz DoJo, Ministry of Awesome, GreenHouse and Vodafone Xone. The Precinct is supported by two tertiaries in close proximity – SIGNAL ICT Grad School within the Precinct and Ara Institute of Technology is adjacent to the Precinct as well as close links with the University of Canterbury. The social fabric of the Precinct is enhanced by a great mix of bars, restaurants and shops and open outside spaces. This is a world class precinct which is fast attracting globally inspired entrepreneurs focused on impact and success.
